Este fin de semana viajé a Bucarest con mis antiguos compis de curro, yuhuuu!
Mi amiga Carmen organizó todo a la perfección para enseñarnos su ciudad natal...
Con chófer privado incluido, que nos recogió en el aeropuerto :-)
A saber: Bucarest es la capital de Rumania, está situada al suroeste del país y cuenta con una población de 1,8 millones de habitantes.
This weekend I travelled to Bucharest with my former work colleagues, juhu!
My friend Carmen managed all the stuff to show us very good her native city...
Including our personal driver to pick us from the airport :-)

La primera noche paseamos desde el piso de Carmen hasta el casco antiguo de la ciudad.
The first night we were going for a walk to the old town.
Al día siguiente hicimos un poco de recorrido turístico.
Next day we went sightseeing.

Vlad the Impaler is revered as a folk hero in Romania as well as other parts of Europe for his protection of the Romanians both north and south of the Danube. A medio día fuimos a comer a casa de la madre de Carmen, quién nos preparó unos platos típicos que estaban para chuparse los dedos!
At noon we were to the house of Carmen's mother, who cooked a very good romanian food for us!

Por la tarde paseamos por el bulevar de Unirii hasta el Palacio del Parlamento Rumano: el edificio más grande del mundo después de El Pentágono!
In the afternoon we went for a walk in the Unirii boulevard to the Palace of the Parliament: the second largest building in the world after the Pentagon!

El sábado por la noche salimos por el casco antiguo: el ambiente era increíble :-)
On Saturday night we were partying at the old city: the atmosphere was amazing :-)
El domingo fuimos al Skybar...
On Sunday we went to the Skybar...
... huyendo de los 36° C que hacía en las calles :-)
... running away from the 36° C on the streets :-)
El trayecto en taxi fue una gran aventura... primero porque el taxista arrancó a todo gas cuando Cynthia tenía un pie dentro del taxi e intentaba poner el otro para subir del todo... y después porque cuando llegamos al lugar en cuestión, giró a la derecha sin mirar por el retrovisor y casi nos chocamos contra otro coche, jajajajajajjajajjaja!
The trip with the taxi was a big adventure... first because the driver started driving when Cynthia had only one foot inside and tried to put the second one to go in... and after because when we arrived, the driver decided to park, turning without looking if more cars were coming... almost crashed, hahahahaha!
Después fuimos a ver el Museo Satului, formado por antiguas casas de diferentes regiones del país.
Later we went to see the Village Museum, which has old houses from different regions of Romania.

Y así terminó nuestro maravilloso viaje por tierras rumanas...
And so ended our wonderful travel through Bucharest...
